Description
The XT90 series connectors are one of the most popular with modellers. The XT90 power connectors are highly reliable as well as capable of handling high currents in a small package. XT90 connectors are capable of withstanding currents up to 90A for a long time.
The connectors are made of high temperature nylon with gold-plated spring-loaded contacts. Contacts allow you to “solder” a wire with a cross section of more than 6mm² to them. There is a fairly widespread opinion that the contacts of power connectors should have a flat surface to increase the contact area. In the XT90 connector, the contact is divided into 4 parts, which ensures a snug fit to the surface of the mating connector and makes the XT90 connector less dependent on contamination.
