Converter (converter) USB to RS-485

This module is a USB/RS-485 converter, which is designed to interface devices with a PC (personal computer) via an industrial RS-485 interface. The converter can be used to control motors, build a ventilation /air conditioning system, security systems, control the movement of objects, as well as automate production and production processes. The USB to RS-485 interface converter is designed for a distance of up to 1.2 km. External devices can be connected using a conventional twisted pair cable.
The converter board is designed based on CH340 and MAX485 chips, 12MHz crystal and other auxiliary components, which ensure the correct operation of the device. The CH340 chip is used to create a virtual COM port when the converter is connected to a PC, and the MAX485 chip ensures the correct connection of an external device. Thanks to the chip, the converter has a sufficiently high data transfer rate via the USB interface and two-way communication. Transmits data over serial output at up to 6 Mbps. The maximum number of devices that can be connected in parallel without additional amplifiers is 32.

The converter is connected to a personal computer using a USB port, and to an external device using a screw terminal block.

For further work with the converter it is necessary to install the driver. If, when connected, the PC could not install the driver for the converter, then you need todownloadit and then install it yourself.

The converter is powered from the USB port. The converter supply voltage is 5 V.
