The digital touch sensor module is designed to activate devices by touch. With this module, you can replace conventional tact buttons. Also, the module can be used to control lamps, lamps, control the water level in any container (plastic barrel or aquarium), etc. The touch sensor can respond both to a simple touch and to touch through glass or plastic (up to 3 mm).

The sensor board is designed based on the TTP223 chip. The TTP223 chip has 6 pins and is made in the "SOT23-6" package. The module fires when its capacity changes. Pressing the touch button pad changes the leakage current. After that, the microcircuit determines it and signals that the button is pressed. If the sensor has not been used for 12 seconds, the module enters the "power saving" mode. The sensor sensing distance is 3 mm.

The module can be connected to the Arduino platform or other microcontroller devices. The module board has 3 outputs:

GND: ground
I/O: digital signal
VCC: supply voltage
There are 2 jumpers on the module board:

A: high logic level on the output
A (closed): pin logic low
B: works like a button
B (closed): works as a trigger

The touch button module can be used as a trigger (latching button). The sensitivity of the sensor is adjusted using an additional capacitance (from 1 to 50 pF), which can be installed by soldering.

Power is supplied from an external power supply, an Arduino board, or another microcontroller device. The module supply voltage range is from 2 to 5.5 V.
