Description
The ATA5350 is a low-power ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver with an integrated security layer for secure range limitation, localization, and point-to-point data transfer. The ATA5350 digital transmit circuitry provides maximum flexibility in generating UWB pulsed signals. The transmitter is capable of:
• Generation of precise pulse widths in the range from less than 1 ns to greater than 10 ns with controlled envelope shape
• Generate carrier frequency from 6.2 GHz to 7.8 GHz
• Ensure compliance with ETSI and FCC regulations with programmable transmitted peak output power up to 9 dBm typical
The ATA5350 Front-end (FE) receiver provides excellent sensitivity, ensuring an excellent link budget for RF communications. The digital baseband signal processing block provides highly stable sub-nanosecond time-of-flight (ToF) measurements. The ATA5350 includes a MAC layer for secure distance measurement and data transfer for proximity-based access control. The layer can be configured to provide different degrees of security.
