DC reed relays of the RES type are designed for switching DC and AC electrical circuits with a frequency of up to 10 kHz.

Reed relays have a number of advantages over electromagnetic ones:

- complete sealing of the contact allows them to be used in various conditions of humidity and dustiness, reliable operation in a wide temperature range

- high speed allows the use of reed relays at a high switching frequency - relays have a high dielectric strength of the contact gap

- galvanic isolation of switched circuits and control circuits of reed relays

- reed relays have a simple design and weight
