NE555 variable frequency generator

The NE555 module is a square wave generator. This module can be used to test low and high frequency circuits, amplifiers, radios and other devices. It can also be used to control the parameters of the output pulses over a wide range.

The module is assembled on the basis of an analog integrated circuit NE555. The NE555 chip is a timer that generates pulses with stable characteristics over time. It consists of 2 diodes, 23 transistors and 16 resistors. The output current of the microcircuit is 200 mA. When the supply voltage changes, the accuracy of the microcircuit does not change. The error is about 1% of the calculated value. The module has a trimming resistor, which is necessary to control the frequency of rectangular pulses. The frequency range of the output pulses is from 1 Hz to 100 kHz.

There are 3 outputs on the module board:

VCC: supply voltage
GND: common wire ("ground")
OUT: output signal level. High output is 1.5V and low is 0.25V

Power is supplied to the module from an external power source, Arduino platform or other microcontroller device. The module supply voltage range is from 5 ... 15 V.
