The INA219 module is a digital sensor designed to measure current, voltage and power. The main advantages of this meter are: high accuracy of current and voltage measurements and small dimensions, which expand the scope of the sensor. The module can be used in systems where it is necessary to control current and voltage readings. The range of measured voltages of the sensor is from 0 to 26 V.

The basis of the sensor is the INA219 chip, which reads the voltage on the shunt. After reading the data, they are stored in the registers of the microcircuit. The shunt resistance is 0.1 ohm. The resistive shunt is in open with positive power, which ensures that there are no potential shifts between GND and other devices. A 12-bit ADC (analogue-to-digital converter) is built into the microcircuit, with which the parameters are measured.

Measurement data is transmitted via the I2C serial interface at up to 3.4 Mbps. It is connected to the SCL (clock passing) and SDA (data transfer) pins. You can also change the module interface address. To do this, you need to install jumpers on the marked pins A0 and A1 by soldering. Changing the board address allows you to create 4 combinations per I2C interface, so you can connect 4 similar modules.

You can supply power to the module board using an external power source, from the Arduino board or other microprocessor device. Sources are connected to the sensor via the VCC and GND pins. To connect the measured power source, you can use the VIN+ and VIN- contacts or connect it using a terminal block. The polarity of connecting the power supply terminals is drawn on the board (on the right side - a negative charge, on the left - a positive charge).

To further work with the sensor in the Arduino IDE development environment, you will need a library that can be downloaded.

The module also includes a non-soldered pin connector and a terminal block. If necessary, they can be placed on the board using soldering.
