Module GY-BMP280-3.3 high-precision atmospheric pressure sensor - altimeter
GY-BMP280-3.3 is a high precision atmospheric pressure sensor. In addition to measuring atmospheric pressure, the sensor is able to determine the altitude and ambient temperature. Thus, this allows you to use the module to build a home weather station, as well as to create such devices as: barometer, altimeter, etc. Also, this module is often used in homemade aircraft, quadrocopters, etc.
The module board is designed based on the improved BMP280 chip and other auxiliary components. The microcircuit is an atmospheric pressure sensor, which has 8 pins and is made in a metal case. ADC resolution increased to 20 bits. The accuracy of measuring barometric pressure is 1 hPa, temperature 1 °C, and altitude up to 1 m.
The atmospheric pressure module supports I2C and SPI serial interfaces, which allows you to connect the sensor to the Arduino platform or other microcontroller devices without any problems. Module board pin assignments:
VCC: supply voltage 3.3V
GND: ground
SCL: clock line
SDA: data line
CSB: slave output
SDO: serial data output
The GY-BMP280-3.3 module can work in 3 modes:
SLEEP: low power mode or "sleep" mode
FORCED: measures the required parameters on command
NORMAL: self-measures parameters after a predetermined time
The module is powered from an external power source, Arduino platform or other microcontroller device. The module supply voltage range is from 1.7 to 3.6 V.
