Power regulator AC 220V 4kW with heatsink

The BTA41-600 module is an assembled resistive load power controller. The module can be used to change the power of a soldering iron, electric motor, fan, brightness of artificial lighting and other electrical devices. The maximum load power is 4000W. Please note that this inverter cannot control the power of reactive loads (consumer electronics, flashlights, etc.).

The module is designed on the basis of the triac BTA41-600, which has 3 outputs and is made in the "TO-3" package. A radiator is fixed on the BTA41-600 triac housing, which provides cooling at a power of over 2000 watts. The main component of the module is a triac, the opening phase of which depends on the change in the half-wave of the supply voltage. Due to this dependence, the output power of the active load is regulated. The output voltage is adjusted using a variable resistor. The voltage value range is from 15 to 100%.

The load is connected to the regulator board using a terminal block. The connection polarity is shown on the module board.

The module board can be installed in the device case (there are 4 holes).
