SD SPI card reader module for ARDUINO
This module allows you to connect an SD memory card to the Arduino. The module can be used to record data from various sensors connected to Arduino or other microcontroller devices.
A module with an SD card is needed in projects where the EEPROM memory is not enough for the program to work or it is necessary to record the received data or the time of reading information from sensors.
The card reader module supports 2 modes: SD - native exchange protocol and SPI (Serial Peripheral Bus) interface for serial data exchange. The SPI interface is a bus for connecting external devices, through which data is exchanged with the microcontroller.
To work with the module, you do not need to install additional libraries for the Arduino IDE. The library for working with the module is included in the standard libraries of the Arduino IDE. To connect it, you need to go to the "Sketch" tab, and then to "Include Library" and select the "SD" library.
The module is connected to the Arduino through 6 pins connected to a pin extension. Power is supplied to the module through the VCC and GND outputs. Using the SCK (Serial Clock) contact, clock pulses are transmitted, which are generated to synchronize the information transfer process. Through the MOSI contact, data is transmitted from the master to the slave, respectively, MISO is the line for transmitting information from the slave to the master. The CS output is used as a bus device select signal.
Voltage can be supplied both from external power sources and from microprocessor devices.
