Calibration:
Like any other measuring instrument, the LCR-T4 requires periodic calibration. The developers have greatly simplified this procedure and you do not need special expensive equipment for this.
Before starting calibration, prepare a three-pin jumper with a pitch of 2.54 mm and a good quality non-electrolytic capacitor with a capacity greater than 0.1 microfarads. Metal film capacitors of 0.15, 0.22, 0.33 uF are perfect.
Install a jumper in the test socket in contacts 1-2-3 and press the button. The tester, having determined the jumper, will begin self-calibration. The progress of the calibration will be shown on the display. About halfway through the process, the procedure will stop and you will be prompted to remove the jumper. Remove it and calibration will automatically resume. After a short time, the tester will offer to install a capacitor in 1-3 contacts. Insert the capacitor and fix it. A few more seconds and the calibration will be over. The result will be a display of the parameters of the installed capacitor.
