USB to UART. RS232 TTL PL2303

This module is a USB - RS-232 converter, which is designed to connect microcontroller devices to a PC (personal computer) using a USB port. The module is often used for programming embedded microcontrollers that support logic levels of TTL signals (0 - 5V), as well as for interfacing devices via the RS232 interface.
The converter board is designed based on the PL2303HX chip, a 12MHz crystal resonator and other auxiliary components that ensure the correct operation of the device. The PL2303HX chip is designed to maintain communication between the control and microcontroller devices. The main feature of this converter is the low price.

The converter has two connection interfaces: it is connected to a personal computer using a standard USB interface, and to a microcontroller device using an RS232 interface. Pin connectors are used to connect to a programmable device. Pin assignments:

3.3V: power supply voltage of the programmable device with TTL level 3V
5.0V: power supply voltage of the programmable device with TTL 5V level
RXD: signal transmission line
TXD: signal receiving line
GND: ground

Pay attention to the connection of the pins that are intended for transmitting and receiving data: the RXD pin of the converter is connected to the TX Arduino, and the TXD pin to RX.

There are 3 LEDs on the module board:

LED1: signals power supply to the module
LED2: signals data transmission
LED3: Indicates data received

When the module is connected to a PC, the PL2303HX chip creates a virtual COM port with which data is transferred. If the driver was not automatically installed when connecting the converter to the PC, then you need todownload and install by yourself. This device does not run Windows8 64-bit operating system.

The converter is powered from the USB port of the computer with a voltage of 5V.
