AD7705 Dual 16-Bit SPI ADC Module
The AD7705 is a dual 16-bit ADC (Analog to Digital Converter). This module is an auxiliary device that is designed to convert an analog signal into a digital alert for the Arduino platform.
The module board is designed based on the TM7705 chip (similar to AD7705), a quartz resonator, an LM-285-25 chip and other auxiliary components that ensure the correct operation of the module. The TM7705 is a dual channel ADC with differential inputs. The input signal passes through an amplifier, after which it goes to an analog modulator. The signal then goes to an internal digital filter. You can adjust the filter cutoff threshold, since the previously obtained filter value can be transferred from the internal register. Thanks to the built-in interface, you can set the gain, signal polarity and sample rate. The amplification range is from 1 to 128 times.
The module board is connected to the microcontroller device using the SPI interface. Connection pin assignments:
GND: ground
VCC: supply voltage
RST: reset
CS: chip selection
SCK: clock line
DIN: data input (data transfer from microcontroller to ADC)
DOUT: output data (data transfer from ADC to microcontroller)
DRDY: data ready (ADC status monitoring)
Power is supplied from the Arduino platform or other microcontroller device. The supply voltage range is from 3.3 to 5 V.
